Productivity is largely a reflection of our attitude to work and tasks. How we approach our responsibilities, how much we value our achievements, and how we perceive our work all affect our productivity.
- The first thing that is important for increasing productivity is effective time and resource management.
Reconsider how you accomplish tasks, whether you prioritize them, and the total amount of work that needs to be done.
Be able to focus and not “jump” from task to task. Because the fact that you do them at night, without getting enough sleep and “suffering” from a lot of tasks, does not always mean that you are highly productive and hardworking )))
Sometimes it can be a simple lack of time management and your inability to effectively complete tasks during working hours.
And here task decomposition will help us. After all, procrastination occurs when you don't divide a task, and it remains voluminous and unrealistic to complete.
Divide it into micro-tasks and cross off completed items from the list. This will give you an additional feeling that the task is “progressing” and you will clearly see the stages of its completion. This, in turn, will motivate you to finish faster.
- The next tip is to take risks more easily and not be afraid of responsibility.
Most people overestimate risks and underestimate rewards. Sometimes it's worth taking on challenges and trying new things to adapt to change faster.
Try new tasks that you may not even know how to do.
This will not only help you improve your skills, but after completing such tasks, your intrinsic motivation will become the best engine of productivity.
- And now my favorite advice: learn to relax!
Quality free time is the key to your productivity at work.
Our life is a challenge nowadays. So fill your life with emotions, new experiences, and activities.
Burning deadlines are not going to disappear, nor is the flow of important tasks. But if you're tired and completely burned out, you can't even think about any productivity gains. So be able to find a balance between work and personal time. And say “no” at the right time.
- And another little tip from me - add a little inspiration vibe to your workplace.
Turn on your favorite music, make sure you are comfortable, make some delicious tea or a delicious gin and tonic, whoever likes.
