How to work with a team on a remote? Emotional article

The team on the remote is a real problem for the manager. In fact, you may disagree with this statement and read this article rather skeptically. I understand. Especially in conditions of a pandemic or war.

In this article I will tell you only about 1/5 of the effective remote work, but, in my opinion, the most important after the technical implementation.

Emotional connection with the team is important for any good manager. Understanding the "main element" of everyone in the chain (if you have a large company).
Due to the specifics of work in the creative industry, the quality of work of a specialist and its result are directly related to the following elements:
professionalism;

understanding the importance of the team and that he is extremely important to you (but, friends, do not bend the stick and do not idolize the specialist. do not confuse these things);

his own emotional state and sense of inspiration;

understanding that his manager is not an uncle / aunt with a stick, with whom you can not share personal. Moreover, to discuss him behind his back as the worst teacher at school or university;

adequate friendly working relationships (please separate personal and working relationships).
Emotional contact, building relationships and relationships between team members are gradually lost while working on the remote and it is very difficult to restore them. Therefore, an important point in building work at a distance is regular communication.

Just, please, don't start harassing your wards. Do it natively, naturally and do not start to get into the personal. If a person wants to share - he will do it, if not - then do not bother him. There is an option to make it worse.
"Well, tell me how to communicate natively?" - This is exactly the question you should have.

I tell.
Tip 1:
Remember what your employees tell you. Personalize communication.
Insight: re-read yesterday's correspondence and update the information in your head so as not to confuse
Ask how the sick person feels (if you know about it).
Find out how the situation is in the city where your colleague is (if you read in the news that an orc rocket landed there).

Find out how things are with a member of your team who has gone abroad.

Invest yourself, stay connected and don't wait for someone on the team to write to you. Be the person who cares about each chicken.

Tip 2:
Submit ideas for projects
Insight: don't write, do this. Give advice: "It would be cool to implement this for * and the name of the project
In this way, you can start a dialogue natively, and develop a specialist's desire to come up with something cool to be on the same page with you, and natively integrate what you offer. By the way, a cool move: throw a meme, which is funny, and can be adapted to the project.

But give your specialist the opportunity to make independent decisions about his project. Do not be a hen, because, as they say, what you sow, you will reap.
Tip 3:
Give exactly as much as you want to receive, or even more.

Be open and frank. If you are asked - speak transparently, without the opportunity for a specialist to come up with something yourself.
And finally, a phrase for reflection: perhaps you need to live in such a way that your management is missed. Do you agree?
